Something New From Jimmy Choo

Sandra Choi

Sandra Choi promises her debut Pre-Fall collection for Jimmy Choo will accommodate wearers from a “red carpet” to a “festival field”.

Choi was appointed the sole creative director of Jimmy Choo earlier this year and her first offering is shortly due in stores. Sandra insists the accessories range will offer something for everyone – whether you are attending a glitzy party or letting loose in the great outdoors.
“We wanted to create a collection in preparation for the sun coming out and the summer social season kick-off. So we’ve provided a complete shoe and bag wardrobe for event dressing,” she told British magazine Grazia. “The collection is designed to take you from a red carpet party to a summer wedding, from an art gallery opening to the races, or the festival fields.”
Pieces from the collection include black sunglasses with star detail and matching Cheshire boots for festival goers, as well as a red jewel-encrusted clutch bag and black and lime spray paint Anouk court shoes. There is also a pretty pair of flat sandals in gold with moonstone detail which would be the perfect accompaniment for maxi dresses.
Sandra is in no doubt of which shoe she would choose to live in for the next few months.
The creative director singled out a pair of 100mm tall Lang heels.
“It’s a perfect modern strappy sandal that goes with every look

Carrera by Jimmy Choo a cool capsule collection of sunglasses

Sunglasses are an absolute necessity for spring/summer and let’s face it, you can never have too many pairs. That’s why we are so excited about the new collaboration between eyewear expert brand Carrera and luxury fashion house Jimmy Choo.
Carrera is one of the leading brands in the Safilo group, the worldwide leader of premium eyewear. Host to huge names such as Dior, Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs, we are sure this new collaboration is in good hands to wow!

So what can we expect from our desired shoe brand and fancy eyewear specialists? Well one thing is for sure; we will expect nothing less than elegant and unique designs from this capsule collection.
“We are extremely excited about this partnership which we know will result in the creation of an exceptional product,” said Pierre Denis, CEO of Jimmy Choo. “The Carrera brand, since its creation in 1956, has forged a unique position in the eyewear sector and is recognized for being both innovative and adventurous. We are proud to associate Jimmy Choo with Carrera in this limited collection of eyewear.”
Both brands will work together on design, production and distribution and the end result will be a complete blend of both brands. We have been promised “rebellious glamour” and we are pretty sure that with this teamwork, this is exactly what we’re going to get.
We can’t wait to protect our eyes in true style this summer and we are sure it will be worth the wait.

JIMMY CHOO will showcase its upcoming men's spring/summer 2014 collection as part of the London Collections: Men line-up in June. The footwear label has presented its latest offerings during Milan Fashion Week since the launch of the category in 2011.

"It's exciting to be showing our men's collection as part of London Collections: Men," said Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi. "London is at the creative heart of Jimmy Choo and, with our new flagship Men's store opening on Dover Street in May, the timing feels right to make the move."
Details of the presentation will be revealed nearer to the event. The label will open its flagship men's store on Dover Street in Mayfair in early May.
"Having Jimmy Choo move their men's presentation from Milan to London for London Collections: Men in June is marvellous news, and will make our third men's fashion week even more exciting," said LC: M chair and GQ editor Dylan Jones. "This is further proof that London really does feel like the home of menswear, as designers from everywhere from Milan and Paris to Beijing and New York come here to show."
